Rehabilitation Services:
Restoring Independence
     

     Our rehabilitation services are designed to assist in the recovery process to make the resident stronger, relieve their pain, help them to regain use of an affected limb, re-learn activities of daily living and/or to restore functional mobility. We provide physical therapy, nursing rehabilitation, and speech and occupational therapy consultations. Services include:

  • Exercise programs which improve muscle strength, range of motion of the joints, endurance and stamina, and balance and coordination activities

  • Mobility training to improve and increase ambulation, transfers, and bed mobility

  • Rehabilitation services to enable residents to return home, e.g. stair climbing, car transfers

  • Activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, eating, and transfer activities

  • Splinting and positioning to improve function and prevent contractures

  • Guidance in the selection and proper use of adaptive equipment

  • Wheelchair and seating consultations
